BOARD MEMBERS BIOS
President:
Marisa has lived in the Mount Vernon area since 2015 and is the mother of four children: Jack (17), Charlie (16), and twins Tommy (12) and Joey (12). She has been an active
volunteer at Mansion House Club for many years, supporting both the swim and social
programs, and has previously served on the Board as Treasurer and Secretary.
Professionally, Marisa has worked in government and contracting, specializing in
budgeting and procurement. She brings a deep commitment to the Mansion House
Club community and a strong background in organizational leadership, finance, and
governance.
First Vice President:
Joshua is a lifelong Alexandria resident with more than 15 years of experience in
government procurement, sourcing, and logistics working directly with the State
Department on various international development and public health related projects. A
former NVSL swimmer, West Potomac Wolverine, and graduate of Christopher Newport
University, Joshua has had the pleasure of raising his family, alongside his wife Rachael,
in the Riverwood neighborhood of Mt. Vernon, hoping to instill the same type of carefree
childhood memories which made Northern Virginia so special to him.
Second Vice President
Treasurer Adam Killian has lived with his spouse, Marisa Paul, and four sons – Jack (14), Charlie (13), Tommy (9) & Joey (9) – in the Mount Vernon area for eight years. Adam and Marisa have called the DMV home since Marisa finished her MBA at The George Washington University. Professionally, he has moved between public and private sector, focusing on procurement and budgets in both the defense and humanitarian assistance fields. Personally, like many MHC parents, he spends inordinate amounts of time next to pool lanes, soccer pitches, football fields, and baseball diamonds in support of his kids.
Pool Operations
Engineering Construction and Maintenance John Finucan and his family are longtime members of MHC, joining in 1993. John has a background in criminal justice and engineering. He has served on the Board for over 12 years in the Engineering, Construction, & Maintenance position and would like the opportunity to continue to serve Mansion House Club in this position.
Membership Ron Leffler and his wife Bailey are Mount Vernon natives who enjoyed the pool many years ago as kids. Now they share all the same great pool experiences with their three girls, Sonoma (7) Haven (5) and Finley (1). You’ll find them cruising on the golf cart up and down Robertson Blvd or the trail to the Mansion House Yacht Club. The oldest girls finished their first year of swim team and tennis and can’t wait for next season! Bailey is also really enjoying the new tennis program. Ron operates an independent real estate brokerage.
Web Administrator Jaana Reglin and her husband Kyle joined the Manson House Club in 2017. Their 7-year-old daughter, Emma, has been part of the MHC Swim team for three years. Jaana is a site-based substitute teacher at Fort Hunt Elementary School, where Emma is in the second grade. Previously, Jaana served as the IT infrastructure lead for the British Embassy in Tallinn, Estonia. She is fluent in three languages and is currently studying a fourth.
Swim Team Representative Rebecca Dresch and her husband Denny along with their 4 children, moved to the area in 2019 courtesy of the army. They have been members of MHC and the swim team since 2021 and enjoy spending time at the pool. Rebecca is a science teacher at Mount Vernon High School, where 2 of her children also attend. The Dresch family is already counting down the days until summer swim season begins!
Dive Team Representative Elizabeth Brown
Tennis Representative Melissa Prunchak and her husband Greg, a Mount Vernon native, have lived in Mount Vernon since 2015. They reside in Riverwood with their two elementary-aged boys, Maxwell and Wesley, and their little black pug, Penny. Melissa works for the National Science Foundation as an Audit Manager, and her federal oversight work has taken her all over the country as well as to Antarctica twice. Outside work, she enjoys her time with family and friends, indulging in creative hobbies, helping out in her community, and playing tennis. Melissa’s friend Baily Leffler convinced her to try a beginner tennis class at Mansion House in 2023, and she hasn’t looked back. Melissa has come to appreciate tennis as a lifelong sport that can be learned and enjoyed at any age and as a family.
Social Chris White is currently social chair and has served in this position for several years. Chris and his wife, Peggy, are long-time MHC members and have five children, Megan, Maura, Matt, Mike, and Mark, all of whom have taken advantage of the benefits that Mansion House has to offer. Chris is a realtor with Long and Foster.
Legal Tim Battle is a lawyer with an office in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. He is a graduate of Bishop Ireton High School (1971), the University of Notre Dame (1975) and the University of Virginia School of Law (1978). Tim and his wife Lonnell have been Mansion House Club members since 1990, and all three daughters swam for Mansion House between 1990 and 2006. Tim has served as legal counsel for MHC for six years.
